Over 150 years ago, Edward Ashcroft saw the need for safer, more sophisticated pressure and temperature instruments for use in the emerging steam industry. In response, he introduced

Ashcroft® transducers/transmitters, pressure and temperature switches, thermometers, test equipment, and extensive variety of pressure gauges are manufactured in ISO 9001 certified facilities. Industrial and commercial pressure gauges in sizes from less than 1” to 12” in pressure ranges up to 100,000 psi.

Ashcroft Pressure GaugesWhen it comes to industrial measurement and monitoring, Ashcroft is well known for their reliability and durability. Ashcroft pressure gauges are available in a wide variety of industrial and commercial pressure gauges, in sizes from less than 1'' to 12'', and with pressure ranges up to 100,000 psi. Available in our process and stainless steel pressure gauges, the patented award-winning PLUS! option solves the problems of vibration and pulsation in your applications. The PLUS! option provides the same performance of a liquid-filled gauge in a dry gauge – without the hassles sometimes associated with a liquid filled gauge. It also significantly increases the life of a dry gauge by 50% in severe vibration and pulsation applications. Another exclusive feature found in commercial pressure gauges is the patented PowerFlex™ movement. The design of the movement cushions and protects against shock. In high vibration applications there are fewer parts to wear out. With 40% less mass, the movement can respond immediately to pressure fluctuations.

Ashcroft Pressure Transducers & TransmittersIdeal for most commercial or industrial monitoring, measuring, sensing and control situations, Ashcroft transducers and transmitters include four types: gage, sealed, absolute and compound. Ranging from low-to-high pressure measurement and control, our transducer technology measures ranges from 0.05 inches H2O to 150,000 psi with accuracies of 0.02%, 0.25%, 0.50% and 1%. High-pressure models can be used on a variety of applications including HVAC and hydraulic system monitoring and control. Low-pressure control transducers and transmitters use patented Si-Glass™ technology that is designed to give longer life to low-pressure gauges. The low-pressure models work well with static or velocity pressure.

Ashcroft Thermometers & Thermowells Ashcroft offers three types of thermometers: bimetal thermometers, gas-actuated Duratemp® thermometers and digital thermometers. The bimetal thermometer measures ranges from -80° F to 1000°. The gas-actuated Duratemp® series measures temperatures from -320° F to 1200° F. The digital thermometer is panel mounted, shock and vibration resistant and comes in a watertight ultrasonic sealed case. Also available is a line of thermowells designed to work with Ashcroft industrial temperature instruments. Thermowells come in 304 stainless steel and 316 stainless steel with available .260 and .385 bore size. Reliable and accurate, Ashcroft temperature measurement instruments are ideal for use in a wide variety of industrial measurement and monitoring applications.

Ashcroft Pressure Switches & Temperature Switches - Pressure and temperature switches are used in numerous applications for control, alarm and shutdown. Our pressure switches can handle setpoints up to 3,000 psi. All temperature switches feature remote or direct mount bulbs, are constructed from sturdy stainless steel materials and can be used in most industrial and process applications. Setpoints are available from -40 to 750 degrees F.

Ashcroft Industrial Differential Pressure Switches - Our industrial differential pressure switches are designed for use with most industrial measurement, monitoring and process applications. All differential pressure switches record ranges between 30 in W.C. to 600 psid. Differential pressure switches come in either watertight or explosion proof enclosures except for the PD-N7 model which includes both of these safety features.

A2X Pressure Transmitter is cUL and ATEX listed explosion proof/flame proof pressure transmitter used with oil field equipment, upstream oil and gas production, natural gas compression and transfer control as well as alternative energy projects.

A4 Pressure Transmitter is CSA and FM listed; these are Intrinsically Safe and Non-Incendive pressure transmitters used in oil field equipment, upstream oil and gas production, natural gas compression and transfer control as well as alternative energy projects.

G2 Pressure Transducer is a high performance pressure transducer for tough OEM applications.  Used on off-road equipment, construction machinery, compressor control, HVAC and refrigeration, agricultural implements, process automation and control, hydraulic and pneumatic sensing and pressure monitoring.

GC31 3-in-1 Pressure Transducer is an ultra-compact pressure sensor with 3-in-1 digital pressure gauge, transducer and switch capabilities. GC35 3-in-1 Pressure Transducer is a heavy duty pressure sensor with 3-in-1 digital pressure gauge, transducer and switch capabilities. Typical applications include hydraulic presses/stamping equipment/lifts, water/wastewater pressure control, pressure monitoring, water/refrigerant or ammonia based cooling systems, and pressure monitoring on lubrication systems.

GC51 Pressure Transmitter is an industrial rangeable pressure transmitter with integral digital display.  It is used for general industrial use for pump control, hydraulic systems, compressor control, process automation and municipal water tank level.

GC55 Differential Pressure Transducer is a wet/wet differential pressure transducer with integral digital display, user rangeable with (2) adjustable switch points.  Applications include pump monitoring of building hydronic heating and cooling systems, filter monitoring in water purification and hydraulic systems, and level measurement for large and/or pressurized tanks.

K1 Pressure Transducer is an industrial pressure transducer with optional intrinsically safe/non-incendive approvals.  They are used on hydraulic system monitoring and control, HVAC/refrigeration, machine tool, pump control and general purpose.

K2 Pressure Transducer is an industrial pressure transducer with conditioned millivolt output that is used for hydraulic system monitoring and control, test and measurement and general purpose industrial process applications.

K8 Pressure Sensor/Transducer is a pressure sensor/transducer with unconditioned output; it is used for OEM hydraulic systems and control valves as well as pump control and medical.

KM10/KM15 Pressure Transducers is a rugged, compact pressure transducer for the high volume OEM; it is also RoHS Compliant. It is used for off-road equipment, mobile hydraulic systems, construction machinery, HVAC/R, compressors and pump control.

KS Sanitary Pressure Transmitter is a sanitary pressure transmitter that is used for dairy, food, pharmaceutical and 3A sanitary applications.

KX Pressure Transmitteris a flush mount pressure transmitter used in the pulp and paper, paint booths, food processing, printing presses and agricultural spraying applications.

T2 Pressure Transmitter is a high performance pressure transmitter for general industrial applications such as process automation, compressor control, hydraulic system monitoring and control, pump control, pneumatics, presses and general industrial applications.

GC52 Pressure Transmitter is a rangeable wet/wet differential pressure transmitter with integral digital display.  They are used for pressurized and non-pressurized tank levels, flow measurement (liquid or gas) and fume hoods.

IXLdp Pressure Transmitter is an industrial rugged type low differential pressure transmitter, NEMA 4X housing and an optional intrinsically safe approval. Applications include HVAC – critical environment control, fume hood control, lab/clean room pressurization, laminar flow, furnace/stack draft, leak detection, pollution monitoring, fan tracking, filter monitoring and velocity measurements.

RXLdp Pressure Transmitteris a low differential pressure transmitter with user and OEM packaging options.  Applications include HVAC, medical – lung function/breathing equipment, fume hood control, lab/clean room pressurization, laminar flow, leak detection, fan tracking, as well as glovebox and velocity measurements.

XLdp Pressure Transmitter is a low differential pressure transmitter for critical environments.  HVAC, fume hood control, lab/clean/hospital room pressurization, medical-lung function/breathing equipment, fan tracking, filter monitoring and low velocity measurements are among its applications.

Force Transducers and Force Sensors

Capacitive Proximity

Sensors are installed in or on the machine to make appropriate measurements such as vibration, position, speed, pressure, power, and others. GE offers a very wide variety of sensors, each designed to handle the rigors of industrial environments and many capable of being installed in hazardous areas when appropriate I.S. barriers, galvanic isolation, or other means are used. Proximity Probes

These transducers allow direct observation of shaft or target displacement for a variety of vibration, position, speed, and timing (i.e., phase) measurements. Various tip diameters and thread sizes/configurations are offered to allow measurement ranges as small as 200 micro inches (used with our REBAM® measurements), as large as 1.1 inch (typically used for differential expansion measurements on large steam turbines), and everything in between, including the popular 80 mil range used for the majority of machinery measurements.

Acceleration & Velocity

Unlike proximity probes which observe the machine’s shaft directly, casing vibration transducers measure the vibration of the surface to which they are attached - usually a bearing housing. Devices in this category include both accelerometers and velocity transducers. GE supplies a wide range of accelerometers and velocity transducers in a variety of mounting configurations, temperature ranges, and frequency response capabilities.

 

 
Pressure Transducers

GE supplies special-purpose pressure transducer solutions for use in applications such as combustor instability ("humming") detection on gas turbines, cylinder performance characteristics (P-V curves, rod compression/tension, suction/discharge pressure, etc.) on reciprocating compressors, and early warning of seal failures on process pumps by monitoring pressure across the seal face. Each of these applications requires a transducer specifically designed for the application to address the pressures, temperatures, and cyclic stresses encountered in these harsh environments while delivering reliable machinery information.

Case Expansion and Valve Position Transducers

The transducers in this category measure changes in machine case positions as they expand or contract, rotary or linear position of control valves, or wicket gate position on hydroelectric turbines. They are typically used in conjunction with other transducers as part of a Turbine Supervisory Instrumentation (TSI) package, designed to monitor all critical machinery parameters on large steam, gas, or hydraulic turbines used in power generation applications.

 

Vibration and Thrust Transmitters

Transmitters provide a 4-20 mA output of the direct vibration or target displacement of the shaft, bearing housing, or machine casing. They allow customers to utilize our Bently Nevada™ vibration sensor expertise on smaller, non-critical machinery. A variety of approvals options are available for vibration and thrust transmitters such as hazardous area (including ATEX) and maritime approvals.

Optical

This portable, temporary-mount optical transducer is ideal for establishing Keyphasor® phase reference events when a permanently mounted Keyphasor® transducer is not available.

170 Series Pressure Reducing Regulator
The 170 reducing version is a compact, spring loaded, direct-operated, pressure reducing regulator. It is available in 1/4" NPT only and is suitable for most low capacity applications. The regulator is available in cast iron or carbon steel. The design can handle inlet pressures up to 300 psig (20.7 barg.)

171 Series Pressure Reducing Regulator
The 171 Series are, direct-operated, pressure reducing regulators. They are available in 1/2 through 1 1/2 inch (DN15 through DN40) with NPT or Gas threaded connections. The regulators are available only in cast iron. The robust construction can sustain rugged use. The design can handle inlet pressures up to 580 psig (40 barg.)

174 Series Pressure Reducing Regulator
The 174 Series is a spring loaded, direct-operated regulator for pressure reducing or relief applications in a wide variety of industrial applications. The large diaphragm area provides accurate control at low pressure settings and the lever design provides consistent shut-off tightness. They are available in 1/2" through 1 1/2" body sizes. The pressure reducing design can handle inlet pressures up to 145 psig (10 barg).
